KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: July 7, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to acknowledge a grant to the Kittitas County <br />Sheriff’s Office from Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission for the <br />purpose of Officer Wellness. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: This contract was won competitively. This grant is for the purpose of <br />establishing officer wellness programs, to include building resilience, injury prevention, <br />peer support, physical fitness, proper nutrition, stress management, suicide prevention, <br />physical health, mental health supports/services and any other program that focuses on <br />officer wellbeing. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to acknowledge a grant to the Kittitas County <br />Sheriff’s Office from Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission for the <br />purpose of Officer Wellness. <br /> <br /> <br />HANDLING: No handling. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff
