Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />July 7, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Public Health Director on the <br />Amendment to the Agreement between the State of Washington Department of Ecology and <br />Kittitas County Public Health. (Effective dates: 02.01.25-06.30.27) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The agreement between the WA State Dept of Ecology and KCPHD allows the county to engage <br />Ellensburg residents in designing community driven strategies to reduce air pollutants, <br />improving air quality and health outcomes. Through outreach, data collection, and collaboration, <br />the project will prioritize environmental justice and create sustainable emission reduction plans. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved on June 11, 2026. <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved on June 11, 2026. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Public Health Director on the <br />Amendment to the Agreement between the State of Washington Department of Ecology and <br />Kittitas County Public Health.
