<br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />“Lillianna McGuffin Day” <br />July 3, 2026 <br />Washington State FFA Agricultural Education Champion <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Lillianna McGuffin is a junior at Kittitas High School who is a dedicated leader within the Kittitas <br />FFA chapter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: On May 16, 2026, at the Washington State FFA Convention in Pullman, WA, Lillianna earned 1st <br />place in the Agriculture Education competition; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: By earning this prestigious achievement, Lillianna became the first FFA member from Kittitas High <br />School to qualify for the National FFA Convention to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from October <br />21-24, 2026, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Lillianna will proudly represent her FFA chapter, Kittitas High School, her family, and the citizens <br />of Kittitas County on the national stage; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Her dedication, leadership, hard work and commitment to agriculture education serve as an <br />inspiration to students throughout Kittitas County; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners hereby <br />recognizes and congratulates Lillianna on winning the Washington State FFA Agriculture Education competition <br />and extends best wishes for continued success at the National FFA convention and request that the citizens of <br />Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring Lillianna for this outstanding achievement and declare July 3, <br />2026, as “Lillianna McGuffin Day” in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 16th day of June 2026. <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
