KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: June 2, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Acknowledge the MOU between Safe House Project, a <br />national nonprofit organization operating the Simply Report platform and The Kittitas <br />County Sheriff’s Office for the purpose of authorizing access to the Simply Report <br />dashboards for designated investigative personnel. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Simply Report is a web-based reporting system that allows <br />community members to report incidents of suspected human trafficking to include <br />commercial sex abuse of a minor. This program allows reporting in numerous languages <br />and contacts that may be anonymous without calling 911. The program will connect <br />investigators throughout the nation involved in human trafficking investigations to <br />reports and continued investigations as perpetrators relocate with zero cost the agency. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The MOU with Safe House Project has been reviewed and approved <br />by the Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge the MOU between Safe House Project, and <br />The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office for the purpose of authorizing access to the Simply <br />Report dashboards for designated investigative personnel. <br /> <br /> <br />HANDLING: None <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff
