<br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 5, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a Professional Services Agreement <br />between Kittitas County and Comprehensive Healthcare. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The proposed Professional Services Agreement is between <br />Kittitas County and Comprehensive Healthcare is to <br />provide mental health and substance use treatment for <br />Kittitas County District Courts Behavioral Health Court <br />(BHC) participants, improve access to needed mental <br />health services, address financial needs associated with <br />service hours that Comprehensive is unable to bill under <br />traditional treatment models, and support participants’ <br />ability to obtain necessary care from qualified mental <br />health providers. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: This is a new Agreement for Services for the Kittitas <br />County District Court Behavioral Health Court. <br />Comprehensive has been providing unfunded services to <br />the county since February 2022. Therese Murphy, Deputy <br />Prosecutor, has reviewed and approved the proposed <br />agreement (11925). <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Professional Services Agreement between <br />Kittitas County and Comprehensive Healthcare, in the <br />amount of $25,000 per year for 2026 and $25,000 per year <br />for 2027. The proposed Agreement is from January 1, <br />2026, through December 31, 2027. <br /> <br />HANDLING: 1 - Clerk of the Board <br />2 originals to Comprehensive Healthcare for signature. <br />Comprehensive to return 1 fully executed original to Clerk <br />of the Board. <br /> 1 copy upon receipt – Prosecutor’s Office <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Professional Services Agreement between Kittitas County <br />and Comprehensive Healthcare. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board <br /> <br />
