BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2026-____ <br />TO ADOPT THE 2026 INTERNAL RATE FOR UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION <br />WHEREAS:all local governments may elect to contribute via Tax Basis or In-lieu contribution basis regarding Unemployment Compensation per RCW 50.44.030; and <br />WHEREAS:Kittitas County has selected Option 2, In-lieu contribution basis; and <br />WHEREAS:the State Auditor prescribes the accounting for In-lieu contributions. Kittitas County elected to create an internal service fund per RCW 50.44.060. <br />WHEREAS:The amount of these contributions is estimated based on projected future claims and a desired operating fund balance of one year’s worth of expenses. <br />WHEREAS:the previous adopted rate was .000% (zero percent) NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners hereby adopts the rate of 0.11% (eleven hundredths of one percent)of gross wages, excluding elected officials, to be charged to all departments and funds for wages effective January 1, 2026. <br />ADOPTED this _________day of ______________, 2026BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERSKITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON______________________________________Chairman______________________________________Vice-Chairman______________________________________Commissioner <br />_______________________________ <br />Clerk of the Board
