Call to Order: 10:00AM <br />2. Citizen Comments – Pat Kelleher sends public comment via email <br /> <br />The recommendation is to awared a PSA to the chamber in the amount of $470,000. <br />Attachment A outlines the 2026 scope of work, organized into seven elements. <br />It would be beneficial to allocate a defined budget amount to each element. This would: <br />• Provied appropriate scale and proportionality across the scope of work, and <br />• Assist in tracking remaining funds within each element throughout the year <br />Thank you for your consideration. <br /> <br />3. 2026 Chamber of Commerce Professional Services Agreement – Decision <br />The Board reviewed an Agreement for Services for 2026, between Kittitas County and the <br />Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. Kittitas County will compensate the Chamber of <br />Commerce $470,000 for tourism services performed in the 2026 calendar year. The Board <br />approved the Agreement unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Accountability Audit Exit Conference – Discussion <br />Mandy Wilson and Kevin Ruiz of the State Auditor’s Office joined remotely to present the <br />results of the 2023-2024 Accountability Audit. Kevin Ruiz presented the results in brief, <br />explaining that the County had complied in all audited areas with laws, regulations, and policies. <br />The County did receive a management letter regarding the Unemployment Compensation and <br />Self-Insurance funds. The County does not have a written policy regarding Self-Insurance and <br />the use of a third-party administrator. The County also missed multiple Unemployment Claims <br />payments, resulting in penalties and interest. <br /> <br /> <br />
