KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 17, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award 2026 <br />Distressed County Sales and Use Tax Funds in the <br />amount of $20,000.00 for the CWU Technology <br />Transfer Center Feasibility Study and Capital <br />Stacking Effort <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: At the February 18, 2026, regularly scheduled <br />Conference of Governments (COG) Meeting, Public <br />Works staff presented an update on the CWU Transfer <br />Center Feasibility Study. The next step for this study <br />is to provide updated HVAC, Seismic and <br />Architectural plans to current regulations and to begin <br />a capital stacking effort. <br /> <br />Based on the motion approved by the Conference of <br />Governments, Public Works has prepared a <br />Resolution to award 2026 Distressed County Sales <br />and Use Tax Infrastructure Improvement Program <br />Agreement an amount of $20,000.00 to continue <br />project efforts. This funding became available on <br />January 1, 2026. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Public Works; Kittitas County Conference of <br />Governments <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve and Sign the Resolution to Award 2026 <br />Distressed County Sales and Use Tax Funds in the <br />amount of $20,000.00 for the CWU Technology <br />Transfer Center Feasibility Study and Capital <br />Stacking Effort <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Director of Public Works
