PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br />“Ronan Stewart Day” <br />March 20, 2026 <br />WIAA 1B/2B Wrestling State Champion <br />190 lb. Weight Class <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Ronan Stewart is a senior at Kittitas High School who is a dedicated leader and captain of the <br />wrestling team; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Ronan is a dedicated three-sport athlete, competing in football, wrestling, and track, and <br />consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic, inspiring others both on and off <br />the mat or field; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Throughout Ronan’s high school athletic career, he has earned nine state appearances across <br />multiple sports, demonstrating remarkable consistency and dedication at the highest level of <br />competition; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: On Saturday February 21, 2026, at the WIAA Washington State Wrestling Mat Classic <br />Championships at the Tacoma Dome, Ronan won the 1B/2B 190-pound weight class State <br />Championship Title by major decision with a score of 28-6; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Ronan should also be recognized for his outstanding hard work and dedication in the classroom, as <br />well as his passion and commitment to the sport of wrestling; all while proudly representing his <br />teammates, his family, Kittitas High School and the citizens of Kittitas County with integrity, <br />character, and pride; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners hereby <br />recognizes and congratulates Ronan Stewart on winning the 1B/2B 190-pound State Wrestling Championship <br />would request that the citizens of Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring Ronan and declare March <br />20, 2026, as “Ronan Stewart Day” in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 17th day of March 2026. <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
