RESOLUTION <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-________ <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION AND KITTITAS <br />COUNTY, WASHINGTON FOR BOATING SAFETY AND EDUCATION SERVICES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission provides grant <br />assistance to agencies as part of their Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Kittitas County is desirous of participating in the RBS program to help <br />reduce the number and severity of recreational boating casualties of all types associated <br />with recreational boating and ensure a safe and enjoyable boating environment for all <br />users; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the governing bodies of each of the parties to the Interlocal Agreement <br />attached hereto have determined to enter into this Interlocal Agreement by action taken at <br />a regular meeting; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the Interlocal <br />Agreement between Kittitas County and Washington State Parks and Recreation <br />Commission that is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by this reference, and which <br />shall be forthwith filed with the Kittitas County Auditor pursuant to RCW 39.34.040. <br /> <br /> <br />ADOPTED this day of 2026. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />_______________________ <br /> <br />☐ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz
