BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />No.202*/UZL <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZEEXSCUTION OF AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND THE <br />WASHINGTON STATE HEALTH CARE AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34,the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for public <br />agencies to cooperate for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County, through the Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD), <br />is charged with the preservation, promotion, and improvement of health in the <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, one of the many ways KCPHD preserves and promotes health improvements is by <br />assisting local residents with Medicaid related activities including aiding in the <br />application and renewal process as well explaining benefits of the Medicaid <br />program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Interagency Agreement provides for partial reimbursement for those associated <br />activities as detailed in the Agreement that is attached hereto and hereby <br />incorporated by this reference; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that execution of the Agreement is in <br />the best interest of the CountY . <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, authorizes execution of an Interagency Agreement with the Washington <br />Healthcare Authority that is attached hereto <br />DATED this Vfn day of 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COI-INTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COIiNTY, WASHINGTON <br />ABSENT <br />Chair <br />V <br />RHGHIVHD <br />DEC I I 2025 <br />K'TTITAS GCI[.!NTV <br />ECARD OF COMfuIISS!OI.{ERS <br />SEAL <br />of oard
