OCTOBER 22, 2025 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright; and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Rob Taylor, Deputy <br />Prosecutor; Jeanne Killgore, HR Director; Jacob Schroeder, <br />Administrative Supervisor; Cori McKean, Chief Deputy Coroner and one <br />member of the public. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING APPOINTMENT OF ACTING CORONER COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to consider <br />the appointment of the Interim Acting County Coroner. <br /> <br />Rob Taylor, Deputy Prosecutor, gave an overview of the appointment <br />process. <br /> RESOLUTION 2025-208 APPOINT INTERIM CORONER COMMISSIONERS <br />Commissioner Wright moved to approve Resolution No. 2025-208, A <br />Resolution Appointing Interim Acting County Coroner (Cori McKean). <br />Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0. RESOLUTION 2025-209 FLAGS HALF STAFF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright moved to approve Resolution No. 2025-209, A <br />Resolution Directing that Flags at all Kittitas County Facilities be <br />lowered in Recognition of the Service of Coroner Nicholas (Nick) <br />Henderson, through October 23, 2025. Commissioner Wachsmith <br />seconded.
