KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: October 7, 2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approval on the Resolution to award the bid for the Search <br />and Rescue/EOC facility. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Sheriff’s office in conjunction with public works received <br />Federal funds to assist with building a new Emergency Operations <br />Center sited with the new Search and Rescue facility. Phase one of <br />the project included clearing and rough grading of the site along with <br />the installation of a well. This portion of the work has been <br />completed. <br /> <br />Phase 2 of the project went out to bid and on September 18, 2025, 10 <br />bids were received. After review of the bids it was determined that <br />Belsaas and Smith Construction Inc., was the lowest responsive <br />bidder. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Sheriff’s office, Prosecutors office and BORArchitecture <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request Boards Approval and signature on the resolution to award the <br />bid to Belsaas and Smith Construction Inc. for the Search and <br />Rescue/EOC Facility. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, bid tabulation and BORArchitecture letter. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Facilities and Waste Operations Director <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
