KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: October 7th, 2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge an Amendment to the Contract <br />Between Kittitas County and Washington State Healthcare Authority. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The original funds were awarded in 2022 to provide medication for <br />opioid use disorder (MOUD) in jails to incarcerated individuals who present with an <br />opioid use disorder (OUD). This amendment extends the contract through June 30, 2026, <br />and increases the total award amount. This funding is provided by the state to enhance <br />our MOUD and MAUD services in our jail yearly. This year the funds will be utilized for <br />additional staff coverage such as a swing shift nurse, and medical use products to help <br />store and deliver medications. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and <br />approved this amendment to the original agreement. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge an Amendment to the Contract Between <br />Kittitas County and Washington State Healthcare Authority. <br /> <br />HANDLING: No handling. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: LT.
