KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2025 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 7, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the Distressed <br />County Sales and Use Tax 2025 Small Capital Program <br />Grant Applications and Direct Staff Prepare Public Facility <br />Grant Agreements for Award Recipients <br />BACKGROUND: The Conference of Governments (COG) met on August 20, <br />2025, to review the 2025 Small Capital Program Grant <br />applications for eligible projects. After reviewing the ten <br />(10) applications received COG is recommending funding <br />three (3) applications for a total funding amount of <br />$360,000.00. Funding recipients include Kittitas County <br />Department of Public Works and the City of Cle Elum. <br />Public Facility Grant Agreements will be drafted for award <br />recipient signature and will be presented for Board of <br />County Commissioner consideration at a future agenda <br />session. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to Approve and Sign the Resolution to Award the <br />Distressed County Sales and Use Tax 2025 Small Capital <br />Program Grant Applications and Direct Staff Prepare <br />Public Facility Grant Agreements for Award Recipients <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Letter of Recommendation. <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director. <br />
