BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - <br />A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />KITTITAS COUNTY AND HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FOR THE FLORAL AVENUE <br />AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, in its efforts to continue providing resources <br />to those in need via the Kittitas County Homelessness and Affordable Housing <br />Committee which receives funding via local document and recording surcharge <br />fees pursuant to RCW 36.22.250 and the Affordable and Supportive Housing <br />Sales and Use Tax Credit pursuant to RCW 82.14.540 RCW, to provide resources <br />to the community for those in need; and <br />WHEREAS, the County, through Kittitas County Public Health Department, has worked with <br />Habitat for Humanity (Habitat), a Washington non-profit corporation to provide <br />services to those in need in the community; and <br />WHEREAS, Habitat has applied to the Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee and <br />is requesting funding from the Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee to <br />assist in covering the design and permitting costs for the Floral Avenue <br />Affordable Housing Development; and <br />WHEREAS, Habitat purchased 2.03 acres of land, zoned for multifamily projects, at Third <br />Street and Floral Avenue, and the Floral Avenue Affordable Housing <br />Development will provide five two -bedroom duplexes and eight three -bedroom <br />single family homes to Cle Elum; and <br />WHEREAS, Habitat's application and RFP follow-up questions are attached hereto and <br />incorporated by reference; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County to approve this grant and enter into a PSA <br />with Habitat for Humanity to commence the development of the Floral Avenue <br />property in Cle Elum. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, hereby authorize execution of the attached Agreement upon signature by <br />the parties. <br />DATED this day of , 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
