MONDAY <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5th ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />2:30 PM <br />September 8, 2025 <br />Board members present: Vice Chair Cory Wright, and Commissioner Brett <br />Wachsmith. <br />Others: Chad Bala, Jamey Ayling and Shannon Johnson, Community Development <br />Services, Stephanie Hartung, Prosecuting Attorneys Office and (0) members <br />of the public. <br />At 2:30 pm Vice Chair Wright opened the Community Development Services <br />Study Session. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />There were no citizen comments. <br />Kittitas County 2026 Periodic Comprehensive Plan Update Briefing. <br />CDS Director Chad Bala presented the staff report and gave an overview of <br />the briefing scheduled for the September 9, 2025 Planning Commission <br />meeting. He gave a reminder summary of how he had provided parallel <br />updates for the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Amendment Process between the <br />Planning Commission and the BOCC and asked for input on how the board <br />wanted to receive future updates on the 2026 Periodic Update moving <br />forward. <br />Brief discussion ensued which promoted utilizing a parallel updating <br />process with some higher level synopsis, and Planning Commission/BOCC <br />joint meetings as needed to drive good discussions back and forth and <br />provide clarity and efficiency for the end results. <br />OTHER BUSINESS - No Action to be taken <br />There was no other business presented. <br />Meeting concluded at 2:36 p.m. <br />Shannon Johnson <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Vice -Chair <br />2025-09-08 MINUTES 1 <br />
