SEPTEMBER 23, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman <br />Cory Wright & Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Ben Kokjer, Chief <br />Deputy; Bryan Elliott, Auditor; Cody Cupp, Assistant Maintenance <br />Director; Patti Stacey, Facilities Maintenance Director; Chris <br />Whitsett, Inspector; Zack DeHaven, Budget & Finance Director and <br />one member of the public. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT - NONE <br />DISCUSSION EOC / SEARCH & RESCUE COMMISSIONERS <br />Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to discuss and <br />consider giving direction with regard to the EOC/Search and <br />Rescue Building funding/bid update. <br />Patti Stacey, Facilities Maintenance Director, stated that they <br />received 10 bids in response to the EOC/Search and Rescue <br />Building project. The range in bids was low bidder $2,955,300.00 <br />(pre-tax) and the highest bid was $3,843,986.00 (pre-tax). She <br />stated that she needs to tell the contractor within ten days and <br />we need to determine where the funding to pay the difference is <br />coming from. <br />The Board discussed potentially using either 3/10th Sales Tax <br />funding, REET 1 (finance states its being heavily committed as <br />is), or possibly a General Fund Short-term loan. <br />The Board stated they would like to see a partnership with the <br />Sheriff’s Office and collective agreement to use 3/10th funding. <br />However if statute doesn’t allow for that, they can revisit <br />using REET 1. <br />OTHER BUSINESS - NONE <br />The meeting was concluded at 2:16 p.m. <br /> <br />
