WHEREAS, Washington State law, RCW 39.56.040 and 63.30.040(11) require any warrants that remain
uncashed one year after its issue must be cancelled by formal resolution.
WHEREAS, the District's Outstanding Warrants Policy states that warrants that remain uncashed 30
days after the District Secretary mails "Notice of Outstanding Warrant" will be canceled and reported to
the Washington State Department of Revenue's Unclaimed Property Division.
WHEREAS, the District Secretary mailed the notice on May 30"', 2025, and has not received a response.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County Fire
District No. 1., that the above listed warrants, issued to Justin Rogers, vendor number 01984, are to be
canceled.
