Kittitas County Lodging Tax Fund Application for Tourism -Related Infrastructure Projects <br />Application Overview <br />This application is designed to provide funding for tourism -related infrastructure projects in <br />Kittitas County. Eligible projects must demonstrate a direct impact on tourism, support visitor <br />experiences, and contribute to the local economy. Please follow the application format outlined <br />below and attach supporting documents to this cover sheet. Project Description <br />Historic Roslyn Cemetery Signage <br />$ 25,000.00 <br />City of Roslyn <br />Michelle Geiger <br />(509) 304-8337 <br />planner@ci.roslyn.wa.us <br />PO Box 451 Roslyn, WA 98941 <br />The Roslyn cemetery is clustered serenely in fifteen acres of woods and hills, twenty-six separate, <br />but adjacent cemeteries make up the entirety of this destination, with at least twenty-four <br />nationalities represented here dating back to 1886. <br />Much of the signage for the cemetery is in a dilapidated state (see attached) therefore making <br />navigation of this significant destination for tourism both challenging and presenting a significant <br />cost to the City's general fund budget at present. <br />2. Tourism Benefit <br />The Historic Roslyn Cemetery attracts visitors daily from outside of the County and is a valuable <br />piece of both state and local history in our County. Improvements are needed to allow an <br />enhanced tourist experience during their visits to this area. These improvements will allow both the <br />ability to navigate the cemetery as well as provide an opportunity to allow the tourists and <br />
