KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 15th, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to acknowledge the amendment and extension of the <br />grant from WSCTJC for Officer Wellness. <br />BACKGROUND: This contract was won competitively, and contract incorporates by <br />reference the Statement of Work WSCJTC published in the Request for Proposal, which <br />the Contractor's proposal specifically agreed to perform. <br />The original grant awarded and approved 7/16/24 was for establishing officer wellness <br />programs, to include, building resilience, injury prevention, peer support, physical fitness, <br />proper nutrition, stress management, suicide prevention, physical health, mental health <br />supports/services and any other program that focuses on officer wellbeing. This <br />amendment is to add an extension through 6/30/2026 with an additional $15,000 for gym <br />equipment and future wellness services. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to acknowledge the amendment and extension of the <br />grant from WSCTJC for Officer Wellness. <br />HANDLING: No handling. <br />LEAD STAFF: LEC Duncan <br />
