Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />July 15, 2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Public Health Director on the <br />Agreement between Department of Ecology and Kittitas County Public Health Department for <br />Local Solid Waste Financial Assistance. (Effective: 07.01.25-06.30.27) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County Public Health Department will spend $144,788.00 to enforce state and local solid <br />waste regulations and to provide education and outreach to prevent solid waste violations while <br />conducting 80 permitted facility inspections, 10 exempt facility inspections, issue/renew 20 <br />permits and 10 exemptions, and receive and resolve 50 complaints. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved June 25, 2025. <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved June 25, 2025. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Public Health Director on the <br />Agreement between Department of Ecology and Kittitas County Public Health Department for <br />Local Solid Waste Financial Assistance.
