BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTON No.2o2s - ll l{ <br />AUTHORIZING BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SIGNATURE TO <br />EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF <br />ELLENSBURG <br />WHEREAS: The Interlocal Cooperation Act, as amended, and codified in Chapter <br />39.34 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), provides for public <br />agencies to enter into agreements for joint or cooperative action authorized <br />under that chapter; and <br />WHEREAS: The City of Ellensburg (City) desires to install a fish screen within the <br />County Right of Way of Judge Ronald Road on the East Branch of Lyle <br />Creek to facilitate construction of the City's Gateway II project on <br />Vantage Highway; and <br />WHEREAS: The City has obtained the necessary permit from the Washington State <br />Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) to install a fish screen on the East Branch of <br />Lyle Creek; and <br />WHEREAS: The City will have responsibility to install, maintain and operate the fish <br />screen including removal during the off season of inigation; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does authorize execution of the Interlocal <br />Agreement between Kittitas County and the City of Ellensburg for the <br />installation and maintenance of a fish screen in County Right of Way on <br />Judge Ronald Road. <br />day of June , 2025 , at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COLTNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />COLINTY, WASHINGTON <br />Attest: <br />n Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Vice-Chairman <br />ABSENT <br />$LAL <br />7, <br />i <br />E"Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner
