KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5th ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 2:30 PM April 28, 2025 <br />Board members present: Chair Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chair Cory <br />Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br />Others: Chad Bala, Jamey Ayling, Jeremy Johnston and Shannon <br />Johnson, Community Development Services, Stephanie Hartung, <br />Prosecuting Attorney's Office, and no (0) members of the public. <br />At 2:30 pm Chair Osiadacz opened the Community Development <br />Services Study Session. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />No public comments. <br />SHORT TERM RENTAL (STR) UPDATED RESOLUTION #2025-093 EXPANDING <br />THE DUTIES OF THE SHORT TERM RENTAL COMMITTEE <br />Long Range Planner Jeremy Johnston presented his staff report. <br />On March 5, 2024 The BOCC created the Kittitas County Short Term <br />Rental(STR)Committee through Resolution 2024-049. The Committee <br />has since fulfilled the intention of the Resolution and <br />determined a need for short-term rental regulations. At their <br />regularly scheduled CDS Study Session on April 14, 2025, the <br />BOCC instructed staff to prepare a resolution to expand the <br />duties of the STR Committee to include development of draft <br />regulations. He referred the commissioners to the attached <br />resolution and asked if they had any questions. Hearing no <br />questions, Commissioner Wachsmith made a motion to approve <br />Resolution 2025-093 to expand the duties of the Kittitas County <br />STR Committee as presented.
