BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF'WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 _ 0s-7 <br />AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE SEARCII AIID RESCUE SITE <br />PREPARATION AI\D AUTHORIZE THE COI]NTY ENGINEER TO EXECUTE TIIE <br />SAME <br />WHEREAS: The call for sealed bids supporting the Search and Rescue Site Preparation <br />project was authorized by the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners on <br />January 2I,2025; and <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works solicited bids in accordance with RCW <br />3 6.7 7 .020 Contract Procedures; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were received and opened on February 13,2025 at 10:00 am; and <br />WI{EREAS: There were four (4) responsive bids received for review; and <br />WHEREAS: The lowest responsive bid was from Hurst Construction in the amount of <br />$470,657.26; and <br />WHEREAS: The County Engineer recommends the lowest responsive bid be accepted; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE'BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners finds it in <br />the best interest of the County to award the Contract for the Search and Rescue <br />Site Preparation project to Hurst Construction; and <br />BE IT FURTIIER RESOLVED that the County Engineer is authorized to sign contract <br />documents for said Project. <br />DATED on this l5th day of April 2025, atEllensburg, Washington' <br />BOARD OF COTINTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COLINTY, WASHINGTON <br />Attest:ABSEhIT <br />of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Cory Wright, <br />of thp Board- Mandy Buchholz
