APRIL 1, 2025

Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory
Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith.

Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Office
Administrator; Amy Cziske, Treasurer; Patricia Todd, Deputy
Prosecutor III; and Kady Porterfield, Event Center Director.

PUBLIC HEARING FAIR RATES EVENT CENTER

At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing continued
from February 18, 2025, to consider amendments to rates at the
Kittitas County Fair. The record was open.

KADY PORTERFIELD, EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff Report
with proposed amendments to the rates at the Kittitas County Fair.
It included rates to the Family Fair Pack, RV site rates, late entry
fee, and offering a free admission incentive to boost attendance,
reduce staffing needs for ticketing, and increase vendor and
carnival commissions, making the day more financially beneficial
overall. It would also provide added value for the event partners
by enhancing foot traffic and engagement.

THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC
PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED.

RESOLUTION 2025-072 FAIR RATES EVENT CENTER

VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2025-072, with
the following amendments: change the RV Space – Full Fair from $300
to $400; RV Dry Camping (CWU Lot) from $40 to $75 a day; and the
Late Exhibitor Pass from $10 to $25. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH
seconded.

VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT said they need to represent every citizen
whether they go to Fair or not. He said it was a General Fund
expenditure and believed some of the prices have been subsidized.

AMY CZISKE, TREASURER/FAIR BOARD MEMBER, reviewed surrounding Fair
entry fees.

Motion approved 3-0.
