<br />The Kittitas County Sherff's Office has received Title III funds from the US Forest Service through Washington State. Title III funds, under P.L. 115-141, section 302(a)(2) provides that Title III funds may be used to reimburse counties for search and rescue and other emergency response activities, including firefighting and law enforcement patrols, performed on national forests. It is our intention to spend these funds to improve/update equipment within our Search and Rescue Division. Below is a list of the items we are considering: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />UTV- back country rescue vehicle, utility trailer, enclosed snowmobile trailer, starlink for mobile command post, starlink subscription, awning for mobile command post, drone, portable radios, and other winter rescue equipment such as snowshoes and packs. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We have received the following funds by year: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />     FY23 $44,686.30 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />     FY24 $42,468.42  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We welcome any public comments.    <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />For more information, contact Chief Admin Deputy Shaff 509-962-7525 <br /> <br /> <br />Anyone with an interest in this matter is urged to attend said hearing where all testimony will be taken.
