BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />REsoLUTIoN No. rort --899- <br />AWARDING THE CONTRACT F'OR THE JAIL RENOVATION TASK 1 JAIL TI <br />PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS. <br />WHEREAS: The call for sealed bids supporting the Jail Renovation Task 1 Jail TI Project was <br />authorized by the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners on January 21,2025; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were received and opened on February 27,2025, al2:00 pm; and <br />WHEREAS: There were Two(2) responsive bids received for review; and <br />WHEREAS: The lowest responsive bid was from Belsaas & Smith Construction in the amount <br />of $1,859,000 Plus the additive alternate for $598,000; and <br />WHEREAS: KNIT Architectural has recommended that the lowest responsive bid be accepted; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners finds it in the <br />best interest of the County to award the Contract for the Jail Renovation Task 1 Jail TI <br />Project to Belsaas & Smith Construction Inc.; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners is <br />authorized to sign contract documents for said project. <br />DATED on this 18th day of March 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COLTNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />ABSENT <br />Laura <br />Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />C ory <br />Clerk of the Board-Buchholz <br />Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner
