<br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO FUND KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGH THE <br />KITTITAS COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH TAX TO SUPPORT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES <br />AND PROGRAMS IN SCHOOLS FOR 2025. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 2025 -_______ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) established a Mental Health <br />Tax via Kittitas County Ordinance No. 2021-017; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proceeds generated from the Mental Health Tax are to be used to fund <br />programs pursuant to RCW 82.14.460, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the establishment of a dedicated mental health tax provides an opportunity to <br />allocate resources specifically towards addressing mental health challenges in our community, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, schools play a vital role in identifying and supporting students' mental health <br />needs, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, mental health is a critical component of overall well-being, and addressing mental <br />health needs among students is essential; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners recognize the importance of investing in <br />resources within our public education system to better serve the mental health needs of our <br />students; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes funding from revenue generated by <br />the Mental Health Tax to Kittitas County Public Schools as follows: <br /> <br />Cle Elum/Roslyn School District $143,600 <br />Damman School District $9,250 <br />Easton School District $19,300 <br />Ellensburg School District $313,750 <br />Kittitas School District $83,750 <br />Thorp School District $54,350 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
