BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING KITTITAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE TO <br />PURCHASE 1 YEAR SERVICE CONTRACT FROM SMITHS DETECTION <br />WHEREAS, The Kittitas County Sheriffs Office had previously purchased a Smiths <br />Detection body scanner via Command Sourcing with a one-year extended service plan; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the extended service plan was renewed for one year by Resolution <br />2023-162 on September 19, 2023; and <br />WHEREAS, that extended service plan is coming to an end October 9, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS, the proper operation of this scanner is vital to safe and efficient <br />operation of the Kittitas County Jail, and <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office desires to renew the One Year <br />On -Site basic service contract through Smiths Detection for $16,654.00 plus applicable <br />sales tax, as the machine may need maintenance and this would ensure the machine is <br />properly serviced in a timely manner; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, the <br />Sheriff is authorized to sign all necessary forms and paperwork to renew the service <br />contract heretofore described. <br />ADOPTED this day of <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD <br />Julie A.
