KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES <br />AGENDA ITEM STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: January 7th, 2024 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Ordinance Adopting the 2024 Annual Docket <br />Amendments to Kittitas County Code and Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The County is amending Kittitas County Code and Comprehensive <br />Plan through the annual docketing procedure required by KCC <br />15B.03.030. <br /> <br /> The Kittitas County Planning Commission held public hearings on <br />September 10th, & 11th, 2024, November 12th, 2024 & December <br />3rd, 2024, to consider the 2024 Annual Comprehensive Plan Docket <br />(13 items). The Planning Commission made recommendations to <br />the Board of Commissioners on these proposed amendments. <br /> <br /> The Board of County Commissioners held open public hearings on <br />November 6th, 2024, December 9th, 2024, & December 17th, 2024. <br />At the public hearings, and after the deliberation of the proposed <br />items, the Board of County Commissioners approved Annual <br />Comprehensive Plan Docket Item #’s 2024-01 - 2024-06, withdrew <br />#2024-07, and approved 2024-08 - 2024-13. The Commissioners <br />directed staff to prepare enabling documents for the docket items. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Community Development Services, Prosecuting Attorney and <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Ordinance adopting Kittitas County’s 2024 Annual <br />Docket items as approved by the Board of Commissioners during <br />the public hearing on January 7th, 2024, and authorize the Board. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance with Exhibits A-L <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Chad Bala, Director <br />
