KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2024 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 17, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Chair of <br />County Commissioner's Signature on an Amendment to the <br />Interlocal Agreement between the City of Ellensburg and <br />Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District. <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District and City <br />of Ellensburg entered into Interlocal Agreement, for the <br />purposes of providing Flood Control Zone District funding <br />support to the Reecer Creek Flood Hazard Reduction and <br />Floodplain Restoration Project. This interlocal agreement <br />was authorized by Kittitas County Resolution No. 2022- <br />176 and extended by one year by Resolution No. 2024- <br />0012. <br />The City of Ellensburg has requested the Interlocal <br />Agreement be extended to December 31, 2025. There are <br />no other changes to the terms of the agreement requested at <br />this time. The remaining financial contribution of $865,599 <br />was included in the 2025 Flood Control Zone District <br />Budget. <br />Chair signature is required to extend the agreement. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Chair of <br />County Commissioner's Signature on an Amendment to the <br />Interlocal Agreement between the City of Ellensburg and <br />Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Amendment Letter <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Manager. <br />
