BOARD OF COUNTY GOMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESoLUfloN No. 2024-JlJ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUT]ON OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CIW OF ROSLYN, WASHINGTON AND KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />FOR THE HOUSING OF INMATES <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lntertocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual; and <br />WHEREAS, ttre C1y of Roslyn, Washington wishes to designate the Kittitas County <br />Jail as a place of confinement for the incarceration of one or more inmates laMully <br />commifted to its custody from January 1,2025 to December 31, 2027; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County is desirous of accepting and keeping in its custody such <br />inmate(s) in the Kittitas county Jail for a rate of compensation and other terms and <br />conditions mutually agreed upon by the parties; and <br />WHEREAS, the governing bodies of each of the parties to ttre lnterlocal Agreement <br />attached hereto have dJtermined to enter into this lnterlocal Agreement by action taken at <br />a regular meeting; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, thAt thE BOATd Of COUNTY <br />Commissioners of Kiftitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the lnterlocal <br />egr"d"^t for the Housing of lnmates thatls attached hereto, and incorporated herein by <br />thTs reference, and which lnail ue forthwith filed with the Kittitas county Auditor pursuant <br />to RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this $.tn 2024day of <br />BOARD OF C ERS <br />Commissioner <br />APP AS TO FORM: <br />Doug R. <br />t <br />.F{lerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />tr Deputy Clerk of the Board- MandY <br />(.trtnttl <br />RESOLUTION <br />Buchholz <br />l, Deputy Prosecuting AttorneY
