KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: November 19, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Kittitas, Washington and the County of <br />Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />BACKGROUND: This Interlocal Agreement is between the City of Kittitas and Kittitas <br />County for the Housing of Inmates from January 1, 2025-December 31, 2027, subject to <br />earlier termination as provided in the Agreement. The daily rate proposed is $110.00/day <br />for years 2025, 2026, and 2027. The rate of compensation for any inmate requiring <br />additional or specialized conditions of incarceration to the extent that they must be placed <br />alone in a single cell designed for double occupancy shall be $220.00/day in 2025, 2026, <br />and 2027. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved <br />this Interlocal Agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Kittitas, Washington and the County of <br />Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />HANDLING: Please return one fully executed original to KCSO, which we will <br />provide to the City of Kittitas for its records. <br />LEAD STAFF: LEC Duncan <br />
