KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 3, 2024 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Board’s Approval on Resolution to award bid for <br />the new Lower Valley Transfer Station <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Solid Waste received bids on August 2, 2024, for the <br />new Lower Valley Transfer Station project. Two bids were received for the project. <br /> <br />SCS Engineers, our design engineers for the project, have reviewed the bids and have <br />recommended award to Belsaas & Smith LLC. In addition, SCS Engineers has confirmed <br />that Belsaas & Smith LLC. is in good standing with their license with the State of <br />Washington. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Patti Stacey Director, SCS Engineers and the Prosecutor <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Board’s signature on Resolution. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return signed copy. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, Recommendation for award letter, and Bid tab. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Facilities & Waste Operations Director. <br />
