KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 3, 2024 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Boards approval of a Resolution to enter into an <br />Easement agreement with D&N Development LLC. and for <br />approval of chairs signature on Easement agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Solid Waste been working with the City of <br />Ellensburg on the permitting process for the new Lower Valley Transfer Station. <br /> <br />As part of the plan review the Fire Marshal has required an emergency exit on the <br />northwest side of the property to connect to Highway 97. In addition the City has also <br />required we loop the water main from Green Ave through the project back to the water <br />main on Highway 97 in the northwest corner of the property. <br /> <br />D&N Development LLC. will be developing the property to the north of our site and will <br />be installing the road and water line to our north property line and with this easement will <br />allow the County to connect. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Patti Stacey Director, SCS Engineers, D&N Development and the <br />Prosecutors Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Board’s approval of Resolution to enter into an <br />Easement agreement and for Chair’s signature on the Easement agreement with D&N <br />Development and for the Solid Waste Director to record the easement. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return signed copy. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution and Easement Agreement. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Facilities & Waste Operations Director. <br />
