JULY 23, 2024 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz; Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Shelise Smithgall, Administrative Assistant; Amy McGuffin, <br />Chief Executive Officer - Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce; <br />Hillary Jensen, Agriculture Consultant – Kittitas County Chamber of <br />Commerce; and one member of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to receive <br />a quarterly update from the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce <br />CEO/ADO. <br /> <br />Amy McGuffin, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive <br />Officer, reviewed quarterly reports for recruiting and marketing <br />activities; business retention and expansion activities; business <br />assistance including start-ups; as well as readiness and <br />capacity/asset building. She provided a handout for the Q3 2024 ADO <br />Report. <br /> <br />Hillary Jensen, Agriculture Consultant to the Kittitas County <br />Chamber of Commerce, discussed the liaison work she is doing with <br />working farms and ranches located in Kittitas County who would like <br />to be involved in Agritourism. She is providing Agritourism <br />workshops, including one recently completed on how to build a <br />farmstand, and information on the county regulations regarding that <br />type of business.
