KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: Tuesday, August 6, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the 2024 Cooperative Law <br />Enforcement Modification001 to original Agreement #24-LE-11061700-080 between the <br />Kittitas County Sheriff s Office and the US Forest Service, Okanogan -Wenatchee <br />National Forest. <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff s Office has worked with the US Forest <br />Service for several years. The purpose of this modification is to provide additional funds <br />in the amount of $28,776 to the 2024 operating funds. These funds may be utilized on <br />patrol, and as needed on approved special enforcement situations such as fire incidents. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge the 2024 Cooperative Law <br />Enforcement Modification001 to original Agreement #24-LE-11061700-080 between the <br />Kittitas County Sheriff's Office and the US Forest Service, Okanogan -Wenatchee <br />National Forest. <br />HANDLING: Sheriff's Office to obtain signatures from USFS and return one fully <br />executed original to BOCC. <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff <br />
