Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br />Agenda Staff Report <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />July 16,2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners consider the Odd Fellows Lodge 20 Housing Project <br />request of 5338,000 to be funded through Affordable Housing and Supportive Housing Sales <br />Tax revenue and Affordable Housing Surcharge Fee revenue (fund 112). <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Odd Fellows Lodge 20 Housing Project application packet <br />HAHC Letter of Recommendation <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The funding application was presented at the Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee <br />(HAHC) regular meeting on December 4,2023. Per meeting minutes, the committee members <br />approved funding the project application. At the April 4th meeting it was noted that the <br />previously established scored matrix was not used in application review and Public Health staff <br />was not able to speak to the decision-making process or details and it was recommended by <br />legal DPA Stephanie Hartung to process application through an updated review and scoring <br />process. The updated review and scoring process has been completed and a member of HAHC <br />is here to make the committee recommendation. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners consider the Odd Fellows Lodge 20 Housing Project <br />request of 5338,000 to be funded through Affordable Housing and Supportive Housing Sales <br />Tax revenue and Affordable Housing Surcharge Fee revenue. <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Candi Blackford, KCPHD Chief Administrator <br />Chelsey Loeffers.
