Kittitas County Public Health Department Agenda Staff Report AGENDA DATE: July 16, 2024 ACTION REQUESTED: The Board of County Commissioners considerthe Odd Fellows Lodge 20 Housing Project request of $338,000 to be funded through Affordable Housing and Supportive Housing Sales Tax revenue and Affordable Housing Surcharge Fee revenue (fund 112). ATTACHMENTS: Odd Fellows Lodge 20 Housing Project application packet HAHC Letter of Recommendation BACKGROUND: The funding application was presented at the Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee (HAHC) regular meeting on December 4, 2023. Per meeting minutes, the committee members approved funding the project application. At the April 4th meeting it was noted that the previously established scored matrix was not used in application review and Public Health staff was not able to speak to the decision-making process or details and it was recommended by legal DPA Stephanie Hartung to process application through an updated review and scoring process. The updated review and scoring process has been completed and a member of HAHC is here to make the committee recommendation. RECOMMENDATION: The Board of County Commissioners consider the Odd Fellows Lodge 20 Housing Project request of $338,000 to be funded through Affordable Housing and Supportive Housing Sales Tax revenue and Affordable Housing Surcharge Fee revenue.
