KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 2, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of Interlocal <br />Agreement with the State of Washington Administrative Office of the <br />Courts (AOC) and Kittitas County Juvenile Court Services for the <br />provision and funding of State Trainer services. <br />BACKGROUND: The Administrative Office of the Courts holds the contract with <br />DCYF (Department Children, Youth, and Families) to provide for a <br />and fund Washington State Case Management and Assessment <br />Process (CMAP) for the Association of Juvenile Court <br />Administrators. Within those funds, AOC developed contracts with <br />individual counties who employ CMAP State Trainers to reimburse <br />for time to the counties. Kittitas County Juvenile Court Services <br />employs a State Trainer and has entered into an interlocal agency <br />agreement with AOC in 2024 to provide funding for State Trainer <br />services. This is a renewal, and the interagency agreement is for SFY <br />2025 in the amount of $10,0000.00. <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved as to form the <br />contract (Prosecutor Review Number 10791). Superior Court <br />Presiding Judge Scott R. Sparks has reviewed and granted signatory <br />authority to the Juvenile Court Administrator. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of Interlocal Agreement <br />with the State of Washington Administrative Office of the Courts and <br />Kittitas County Juvenile Court Services for the provision and funding <br />of State Trainer services. <br />HANDLING: Request 1 signed original document be returned to Juvenile Court <br />Services.
