KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE AND MAINTENANCE MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />TUESDAY 2:00 PM I Ma 14, 2024 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith-Absent, Laura Osiadacz Vice - <br />Chairman and Cory Wright Commissioner <br />Others: Patti Stacey, Lisa Lawrence, and Christopher Whitsett <br />Call to Order at 2:05 p.m. <br />Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit) None <br />Ratify Chair's signature on McKinstry Change Order #1: Patti informed the Board that this <br />was on the last agenda but originally the wrong person at McKinstry signed the document and <br />therefore Chairman Wachsmith had to re-sign the document. Commissioner Wright moved to <br />ratify Chair signature, Vice Chairman Osiadacz seconded the motion, Motion passed. 2-0. <br />Request Board Approval for Chair's Signature on Agreement with Knit for Construction <br />and Design for the Jail Renovation: Patti informed the Board that this is for on -call Architect <br />services not to exceed $402,000 for the Jail Renovation Project. Discussion was held on in-house <br />cost savings with the recently hired Project Manager. Commissioner Wright moved to approve <br />Vice Chairmans signature. Vice Chairman Osiadacz seconded the motion. Motion passed. 2-0 <br />Discussion on Project Management Software: Patti informed the Board that she has been <br />evaluating software to assist with keeping track of projects and that she would bring back an <br />official proposal later. Discussion was held on record retention and maintaining as builts more <br />efficiently, IT approval and taking it to the Central Services Committee. <br />Solid Waste Updates: Patti let the Board know that corrections have been made and submitted <br />to the city for the new Transfer Station and that she is still hoping to go out to bid on the project <br />June 41h. Patti informed the Board that the Lagoon at Ryegrass is still not dried out enough to <br />repair. Patti le the Board know that we land applied 257,000 gallons last month and received <br />270,000 gallons. Discussion was held on the Vantage Homeowners Association and their sewage <br />treatment plant, septic haulers and a proposed decant facility in Ellensburg. <br />2024-05-14 MINUTES 1 <br />
