KITTITAS COI.INTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />May 21,2024 <br />Request to Set a Public Hearing for June 4,2024, at <br />2:00 pm local time to consider a Lease with the <br />Kittitas County Sheriff s Office for property located <br />at the Kittitas County Airport, Bowers Field. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />INTERACTION: <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />HANDLING: <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />In May of 2022, the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office <br />entered into a lease agreement for Airport property <br />for one year, ending on April 30,2023. The initial <br />lease term was written with an annual renewal <br />clause that was unclear to the parties involved for <br />billing pu{poses. To clarifiz the lease terms, the <br />lease term was rewritten to be for a three-year <br />period beginning May 1, 2024, and ending on April <br />30,2027. After the initial term a renewal would be <br />renegotiated.
