BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />^ <-t t- <br />RESoLUTToN No. 2oz4 - (\ x ) <br />AWARDING THE CONTRACT F'OR THE BOWERS F'IELD EAST TAXILANE <br />PAVEMENT REHABILITATION AND APRON RECONFIGURATION <br />PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO <br />EXECUTE THE SAME <br />WHEREAS: The call for sealed bids supporting the Bowers Field East Taxilane <br />Pavement Rehabilitation and Apron Reconfiguration Project was <br />authorized by the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners on March 5, <br />2024;and <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works solicited bids in accordance with RCW <br />3 6.7 7 .020 Contract Procedures; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were received and opened on March 28,2024, at 10:00 am; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: There were three (3) bids received and accepted for review; and <br />WHEREAS: The lowest responsive bid was Central Paving, LLC in the amount of <br />$351,414.94; and <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has programed grant funding <br />for this project and provided concurrence to award; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Director recommends the lowest responsive bid be <br />accepted; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners <br />finds it in the best interest of the County to award the Contract for the <br />Bower! Field East Taxilane Pavement Rehabilitation and Apron <br />Reconfiguration Project to Central Paving, LLC contingent upon receipt of <br />the associated FAA Funding grants; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Director is authorized to sign <br />contract documents for said project.
