KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />I:Cl7�iZ�7�ltl�l <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />May 7, 2024 <br />Request to Set a Public Hearing for May 21, 2024, <br />at 2:00 pm local time to consider a Lease with Jason <br />Hone for property located at the Kittitas County <br />Airport, Bowers Field. <br />BACKGROUND: Jason Hone has requested to lease Lot H 14-B of the <br />Bowers Field Binding Site Plan for the purpose of <br />constructing a private airplane hangar. The lease <br />rate is set at $ 0.16 per square foot for the standard <br />lease tern of thirty (30) years. The Prosecuting <br />Attorney's Office has reviewed the agreement and <br />have addressed the questions Mr. Hone had <br />regarding the lease agreement. Mr. Hone has <br />executed the lease and it is now ready for Board of <br />County Commissioners consideration. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works; Prosecuting Attorney's Office; Jason <br />Hone <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for May 21, 2024, to consider <br />a Lease with Jason Hone for County property <br />located at Bowers Field Airport. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director <br />
