KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 7th, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the Memorandum of Understanding <br />for the Kittitas County Health Network. <br />BACKGROUND: By participating in a Memorandum of Understanding it sets out the <br />terms by which organizations participating in the Kittitas County Health Network commit <br />to furthering the mission and vision of KCHN. The MOU is not required to participate in <br />the Network, however participating in the MOU shows our commitment to working <br />together with our partners to improve health in the community. The jail programming <br />relies heavily on this partnership to develop, implement, and enhance programming for <br />those incarcerated and assist in reentry and appropriate services prior to release. This <br />cooperation is one of the foundations of how successful our facility has been in providing <br />this type of programing in our rural area and malting a difference in our community as a <br />part of a bigger network. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge the Memorandum of Understanding <br />for the Kittitas County Health Network. <br />HANDLING: No handling. <br />LEAD STAFF: LEC Duncan <br />
