KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> SHORT TERM RENTAL COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> Commissioners Auditorium, Rm 109, ELLENSBURG <br /> Special Meeting <br /> THURSDAY 3 : 30 PM April 10 , 2024 <br /> Committee members present: Amy McGuffin, Joe Fithian, Gina <br /> Peckman, Jessica Karraker, Nicole Johnson, Norman Pascoe, Derek <br /> Doremus, and Dayna Larimer. <br /> Not Present: Bryan Pittman <br /> Others Present: Mark Cook, Chace Pedersen, Dan Young, <br /> Commissioner Laura Osiadacz and Jessica Miller and three (3) <br /> members of the public. <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Meeting was called to order at 3 : 30 PM <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS (1 min. time limit) <br /> Joe Chang - Resident - Stated this is counterproductive, <br /> affordable housing prices will rise and housing inventory <br /> will go down. <br /> Ben Tomaso - Resident - Stated he submitted a comment <br /> letter to the committee clerk. He stated he wants no other <br /> oversight or restrictions added to short term rentals . <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Motion by Jessica Karraker to accept the March 27, 2024 <br /> minutes . Seconded by Amy McGuffin. Discussion - none . <br /> Motion passed. <br /> AIRDNA INFORMATION <br /> Handout was provided at the meeting by Amy McGuffin. <br /> Discussion occurred regarding the numbers provided on the <br /> handout and what the committee would like to see next . <br /> Commissioner Osiadacz provided background information on <br /> Suncadia. Jessica Karraker stated she will provide the <br /> revenue and taxes breakdown for short term rental owners . <br /> Amy McGuffin stated she will gather data for the <br /> incorporated vs unincorporated short term rentals for the <br /> committee members to review. <br /> Discussion occurred about the business license process for <br /> becoming a short term rental owner. <br /> 2024-4-10 MINUTES 1 <br />
