2024-03-28 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON CONFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING THURSDAY 11:00 A.M. MARCH 28, 2024 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Eileen Murphy, <br />Department of Public Defense Director; Christy Garcia, Chief <br />Administrator; Amy Cziske, Treasurer; and Doug Fessler, IT Director. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING MT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to receive <br />an update from the Management Team’s Executive Committee. <br /> <br />Eileen Murphy, Department of Public Defense Director, provided an <br />update on the recent Management Team retreat. She said there was a <br />lot of discussion about building a Criminal Justice Facility, rather <br />than a new Courthouse. The Courts, Prosecutors Office, Probation, <br />and the Jail would be located together in one area. There was a <br />proposal to create a Central Services Committee. Ms. Murphy said <br />there had been some pushback from Management Team members at the <br />retreat which resulted in needing more information including their <br />scope and duties. There will be more information provided to the <br />Management Team at their meeting in April. At that time the <br />Management Team may vote on the proposal. <br /> <br />Ms. Murphy said the Telework policy will be reviewed by the <br />Management Team once it’s gone through the Prosecutor office and the <br />Policy Committee.
