KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 6th, 2024 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Resolution Authorizing and Acknowledging Sourcewell <br />Membership <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Sourcewell is a bonified cooperative purchasing public agency that <br />we are currently a member of with member ID #120006, and #120027 <br />for Public Works. The Auditor’s Office has identified in coordination <br />with the Prosecutor’s Office that although we are currently a member, <br />RCW 39.34.030 indicates that such authorization of membership shall <br />be at the discretion of the county legislative authority. We have not <br />been able to identify such authorization, therefore this resolution is <br />intended to remedy this potential issue. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Auditors Office worked with the Prosecutors Office and the <br />Commissioners office to attempt to locate the prior authorization via <br />Resolution. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve Resolution Authorizing and Acknowledging Sourcewell <br />Membership <br /> <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Copy – Auditor <br /> Copy – Prosecutor <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution Authorizing and Acknowledging Sourcewell Membership <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Bryan Elliott, County Auditor <br /> <br />
