<br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF OF UNCOLLECTABLE DEBTS TOTALING <br />$409.69 PAYABLE TO KITTITAS COUNTY VETERANS’ ADVISORY PROGRAM <br />RESOLUTION No. 2024 - <br /> <br />WHEREAS, RCW 73.08 provides for the creation and management of the Veterans' Advisory Program and <br />Veterans' Assistance Fund; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, RCW 73.08.080 establishes what the expenditures from the Veterans' Assistance fund, and interest <br />earned on balances from the fund, may be used for; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Indigent Veterans’ use of Veterans’ Assistance Funds for unallowable items results in uncollectable <br />account receivables; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, between the duration of time found on the “Nov 2020 – QB Uncollectable Accounts” attached hereto, <br />the Public Health Department’s Accountant and the Kittitas County Auditor’s office discovered thirty -one (31) <br />uncollectable account receivables resulting in an aggregate uncollectable account receivables in the amount of Four <br />Hundred and Nine Dollars and Sixty-Nine cents ($409.69); <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, diligent efforts have been made to collect on these delinquent, uncollectable accounts; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the write-off of uncollectable accounts is fiscally responsible and necessary to provide an <br />accurate measure of Kittitas County’s financial position; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington, that the Kittias County Veterans’ Service Program accounts <br />receivable attached hereto in the total amount of $409.69, are determined to be uncollectable and are written off <br />from the accounts of Kittitas County upon the adoption of this Resolution. <br /> <br /> <br />ADOPTED this day of 2024. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS KITTITAS <br />COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />Julie A.
